Our Customers

Our Success Is Defined By Our Customer’s Success

Our customers are in diverse and demanding sectors, including health care, security, facilities operations and motor vehicle administration.  VE injects its core values into each and every project.

A sample of the contributions that VE is making to the success of our customers is presented below.

Enterprise Voice Support Services

  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support

VE   was integral in supporting the  Enterprise  Voice Sustainment  Program,   a  unified  and centrally  managed  voice  services  capability  that addressed  issues  with aging  legacy  private branch exchange (PBX) systems at VA’s facilities while ensuring a seamless transition to a modernized VOIP platform. A VOIP proof of concept was deployed to several VA facilities, and VE successfully responded to tier 1 and tier 2 help desk requests while the VA successfully completed the transition to VOIP at these sites.

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Integration

  • Healthcare Solutions
  • System Architecture

EHR integration demands resources that understand the complexities of the healthcare facilities, the caregiver cultures, and patient populations at the integration sites. As the VA works to standardize and create a consistent and single EHR, our team has implementation experience and brings an understanding of the impact to both the staff and the veteran patients. Our experience with the decommissioning and modernizing of software applications is an integral factor when implementing the integrated EHR. Our proven track record with clinical staff and union representatives ensures support and adoption to better serve our veterans.

Real Time Location System Deployment

  • Healthcare Solutions
  • Enterprise Infrastructure

VE enables the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to track the location of medical equipment in real time to enhance patient care. The implementation of RTLS to effectively manage and locate inventory improves patient safety, improves workflow, and reduces equipment costs. The RTLS information is organized to include maps of rooms, departments, floors and facilities. Each search query allows the user to select parameters that include asset type, asset ownership, location, and status among other key attributes. Display views offer additional grouping, sorting, filtering, editing, and exporting options. Improvement in operating and capital budgets, better decision making, and more effective compliance results in better patient care.

Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) Exchange Program

  • Healthcare Solutions
  • Enterprise Infrastructure

VE’s successful deployment and implementation of the VLER Exchange gives VA and participating community care providers secure access to essential portions of the Veterans electronic health record, reducing the need for veterans and their families to request and carry paper medical records from one health care provider to another. Our support of community outreach, project coordination, analysis of shared data, analysis of project status, and reporting of download issues ensures broad acceptance of the Program. On-site and remote training for patients and VAMC clinicians increases the trust and confidence in the value and accuracy of the Health Information Exchange among users while advancing interoperability standards and patient consent policies nationally.

Arc Flash Survey and Upgrades

  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support

VE’s role as the Prime Contractor providing electrical infrastructure services to the Miami VA facility included correcting existing deficiencies, designing new distribution systems, calculating emergency generator loads, performing short circuit calculations, Arc Flash analysis, normal and essential load segregation, review of feeder sizes, protective devices, and equipment labeling. VE provided the upgrades necessary to prevent Arc Flash, a phenomenon where a flashover of electric current leaves its intended path and travels through the air from one conductor to another, or to ground. Upgrading the electrical system provided the employees and patients at the Miami VA with a safer and more reliable environment by eliminating the possibility of arc flash occurrences and by upgrading electrical distribution.

DMV Modernization

  • System Architecture
  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support

VE’s role as the system architect provides the Idaho Transportation Department with a modernized driver licensing and vehicle registration system. The agency was experiencing frequent service outages from an aging legacy application that was rapidly becoming unsupportable. VE developed a system architecture and phased implementation plan that slashed the delivery timeline in half by leveraging COTS foundational systems and integrating them with specific features to comply with Idaho Statutes. Integrating with the implementation team, VE provided just-in-time application architecture, Agile methodology, coaching, Scrum Master and Product Owner resources, and LEAN business process optimization. The result is improved customer service for Idaho citizens, efficient LEAN business operations, tightened security for credential issuance, and taxpayer savings.

Organizational Change Management

  • Healthcare Solutions
  • Program Support

VE supports the VA electronic health modernization program. The scope includes collaboration with facility subject matter experts, clinicians, service chiefs, and VA leadership to design and implement clinical workflow and site benchmark parameters to achieve widespread and positive change acceptance of IT system upgrades and enhanced delivery of care to the veteran

Enterprise Technology Administration

  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support

VE assists the VA in achievement of its goal to have one technology vision across the VA enterprise.   VE provides engineering and planning services and management of a deployment framework to put Windows 10 and Office 365 on every desktop. The VE focus is on system optimization, testing, integration and interoperability throughout the enterprise to reduce operational costs and improve systems support.

Supply Chain and Logistics Management

  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support

VE executes the Point of Use (POU) upgrade to make care delivery more effective while improving patient safety across 62 VA facilities and associated CBOCS.  The POU scope includes reengineering and optimization of the consumable supply chain within the VA.  VE’s responsibilities encompass program support for logistics and deployment resources including logistics designers, implementation specialists, IT staff, and coordination of installation teams for mobile and local-to-site resources.

Medical Center Systems Support

  • Healthcare Solutions
  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Program Support
